                WORKSHOP ON DIGITAL IDENTITY MANAGEMENT

Identity management (IdM) is an integrated system of policies, 
business processes and technologies that enables organizations to 
deal with the identities of its users. Identity management also 
involves issues related to certification and management of the 
lifecycle of digital identities, together with the legal aspects.

Identity management is an active research topic and is tending to be 
for many years. This tendency is because of many different issues to 
be considered, such as: the ease of use of systems, user privacy, 
strong security, single sign on, total cost of ownership, user profiling 
and retention of users by service providers, scalability, fine grained 
access control, personalization of services and interoperability.

The Second Workshop on Identity Management (WGID) aims to be a 
forum for discussions and technical presentations of recent works and
/ or in progress about the state of art in the identity management. 
In addition, we seek to also identify the challenges  of the research 
in this area and enable the mapping of research groups.

WORKSHOP FORMAT

The WGID will be held on November 22, 2011 and will include 
presentation of invited talk, articles accepted for publication and 
research projects related to identity management.

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
Submitted papers should describe relevant research, experiment 
reports, case studies and work in progress. Articles can be submitted 
in Portuguese or English, only in PDF format.
The text should be formatted using the SBC template. Papers have a 
limit of 10 pages, including figures, tables, references and appendix.

Papers will undergo a review process by the Program Committee. 
Accepted papers must be presented by one of the registered authors 
in order to be published in the Proceedings of the 12th SBSeg.

IMPORTANT DATES

Paper submission: August 31 (firm deadline)
Notification of acceptance: September 12
Final version due date: September 16
